Default Help

i have a 94 camaro and it is making a popping sound through the driver side exhaust at idle when it is warmed up. if i let it set for a while and start it up it doesn't do anything but if it is warm and i turn it off then start it back up it will backfire. also when i'm driving and let off the gas it will make a backfire sound. i've already changed the optispark cap and rotor. I would appreciate any suggests u have.

Thanks

Sounds like the Exhaust Manifold Gasket needs to be changed.

alot of lt1s will pop a little when you let off the gas, but if it's happening all the time it could be a different issue.

if it is a exhaust manifold gasket would you hear it through the whole exhuast pipe or just up by the block, b/c i dont hear it where the gaskets at.

And it has been doing it all the time when i let off the gas.
