Default Is this right?

I have an offer to buy some wheels and tires. The wheels are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. The guy selling therm says he's running 275/35/18 in the front and 295/35/18 in the rear with almost no bulge. He says 265/35/18 in the front would be PERFECT! I thought you couldn't run these size tires on these size wheels.

Both tires are too big for the wheels.

The 8.5" should run a 245/40ZR18 and the 9.5" should run a 275/35ZR18.

Those are the PERFECT sized tires for those wheels and they would match the OD of the F-Car OEM tires.

Yeah, those seem a bit big IMO. I've heard of people running sizes like that, but it probably wouldn't look good, or be very safe.
