I currently own an ls1m scanner. I have a friend that is wanting to build one, since they are no longer aviable. My question is, on the odb2 cable (odb2/seriel cable) their is a little black box inline (not the fuse). my understanding is that its just the both that holds the little switches that allow you to turn and off the charging option. can anyone confirm this. if so we can build one pretty cheap. a cheap palm off ebay 15 bucks, hot sync cable 10 bucks, odb2/serial cable 10 bucks, and downlad the software free from ls1m.com
