Default what did you upgrade to fron your 224 cam?

I'm looking to see what kind of steps people took after upgrading from there 224 cams. I'm running one now and when I do a set of heads I'd look to upgrade the cam as well I think. Just seeing how much larger in duration people went. What were your thoughts on the upgrade and what was the power difference?

It depends a lot on your power goals. Typically engine dyno testing shows about 7rwhp to a 228R camshaft & about 15rwhp to a torquer size camshaft. What cylinder heads are you considering? Depending on the camshaft we can custom configure the cylinder head for extra compression & as a results increased hp & tq.

I went straght to a G5-X2 with is a 232/240 because everything I had read said figure out what size cam you want and go one bigger. Most everyone ends up wanting more cam then they originally thought.

Even 2 years and 12,000 miles later I'm still happy w/ my cam choice.

I was looking at the 5.3 heads from you guys actually
My goal is a 400+RWHP car and something that will go mid-high 11's on a DR in the Datsun.
