Re: Aftermarket lifters
I replaced mine when one of them failed... what caused the failure I still haven't ever determined.
My car had 65k miles on it when it happened.... most of which were pretty hard

Re: Aftermarket lifters
It would cetainly not hurt you to change them. Comp makes 2 differant an OEM replacment and the Comp-R lifters. Crane makes some also, a couple others too that are quite pricy and difficult to setup. The Comp-R`s are an excelant upgrade and would be good for your combo.

Re: Aftermarket lifters
the "R" lifters are designed to handle a "bigger" cam...the pressure can be handled better by the "r" lifters...too much spring pressure and the stock ones will collapse...
