Default Just bought a 1999 Firebird Trans Am LS1

Just bought a 1999 Firebird Trans Am LS1. Its bone stock engine and drive train.
I have had a 2000 Z28 and a 2000 Corvette prior to this one. I still have a complete procharger kit I bought for my corvette and might try to eventually one day use it on this after buying what id need. Or I am also thinking about just saving that for one day later when i buy another vette.
Anyways I plan on keeping this TA but I want to make more HP ( and eventually replace the clutch too) But I wanted to ask whats a good CAM & heads I could pick up and put on this stock 99 LS1 TA and what kind of gains would that give me over stock?

from what i understand, heads/cam will be different for a supercharger or a turbo. if you are doing engine work might as well build it for it if you have the kit sitting in your garage collecting dust imo.

but before that you should get longtubes and duals. and probably somethings suspension wise if thats stock too.

Grats on the purchase man.

You really got to decide if your going to P1 the bird or buy a vette. You wont be using the same heads and came NA vs the blower.

If you decide to go NA.....

Then figure out what driveability your after. How much you drive it(basically how important is gas mileage, Interior noise that kind of stuff.). What power level your after and how often will you track it. Once you get a good set of goals going then you can build the right COMBO. And you will remember why you bought an LS car in the first place

And how much you wanna spend..... PRC 5.3 heads can be had new for $1200 or if you wanna go high end aftermarket you can double that or more
