Default Budget LS2

I posted this in the Gen 3 forum but got no replies in a week so i'll try over here I hope the mods dont mind the repost. Feel free to delete the other thread if need be.

I came across an LS2 long block out of an 05 Vette (24X reluctor yay!) very cheap it had a spun bearing with 12K miles on the clock. I plan on a budget build using the stock shortblock. I have a good friend that does the balancing work at a reputable local performance shop that has offered to help me out. I plan on polishing/resurfacing (if needed) the crank after boiling it. Getting all the rods checked out and replacing any that need to be. Have the stock rotating assembly balanced after pistons are flycut. Obviously rebearing/gasket the entire motor and give the pistons some new rings. Run a ball hone on the cylinders for the new rings to seat in on and add in my current parts from my LS1 motor. The cam, heads, intake etc this motor will never see spray.

I have the rotating assembly out of the motor does anybody know what needs to be done to prep the block for cleaning? Plugs to be removed etc? I thought I read boiling these blocks can cause problems any thoughts?
