I plan on subscribing to Camaro Performers, but I wouldn't mind having a second subscription too. GMHTP and CHP both seem to be great magazines but which one has the most 4th Gen (or even better yet LT1) related articles?

Or is one simply way better than the other?

GMHTP= LSxMonthly, although they will have more articles pertaining to LT1's every now and then. You have to figure that any suspension articles will also apply to LT1 cars even if they perform the stuff on an LS1.

Chevy High Performance is a kick-*** magazine though.

GMHTP has started covering our LTXShootout in which they are trying to do more LT1 articles. Not only do they cover the shootout...while they are there they pick cars for future feature articles.

GMHTP is more "F-body" oriented, whereas Chevy High performance tries to cover ALL the Chevy bases. Both magazines have good tech articles, however. I would keep my eyes open for a "killer" subscription deal and do both!

I subscribe to both (as well as Camaro Performers). I definitely like GMHTP better because I like late model stuff WAY better than the older stuff. The older muscle cars are definitely cool, but I'm just not as interested in them.

I'm partial to CHP as my old iron has been featured in it, but I do enjoy GMHTP for the late model coverage - which the name alone would suggest that the coverage of late model f/y/g bodies will be better.

Looks like I'll be going with GMHTP. I was actually leaning towards CHP because it comes out monthly compared to GMHTP and Camaro Performers only come out 9 times a year.

Well, in all truth, the GMHTP is ALL EFI, so it is always going to have more LTx info than SC, if you have or work on carbed chevys then SC is for you.

Whatever one doesn't promote all the marketing BS, which I know Chevy High performance is loaded with. Nothing like taking a LT1 caprice, throwing all sorts of edelbrock garbage at it, and then it only running high 13s....

I get both of them, and like them both. Its hard to say which one is best. I personally like CHP because it has more technical articles. I seem to learn more from it. Im not really into all the bolt-on dyno articles because correction factors can be jacked with to make it look like their making lots of power. Not sayin thats what happens but im not putting it past them.

I like GMHTP personally. Since I subscribed I've gotten 3 issues and each one had an article on the LT1. In one of the articles they tested the Edelbrock LT1 intake and said it wasn't worth buying because it didn't show any gains in Hp. It's nice to see they didn't mark out to Edelbrock. But it is heavily LSX based, not as much as Camaro Performers which should be named " '67-'69 but mainly '69 Camaro Performers" is 1st Gen based.
