Default walboro question

I just bought the walboro 255lph pump, is it necessary to have the wiring harness? whats the deal with it, it looks like its just a relay, is there some kind of voltage problem with changing pumps or something?

Are you talking about the hotwire kit? I have the GS340 pump and I just sold my hotwire kit, when I ran the car again w/o it the GS pump was still pushing 62-65 psi @ the rails.

The factory wiring is marginal for the stock pump, let alone a high volume pump. I always recommend a hot wire kit with your pump upgrade.

It can give an approx 10% increase in pump flow due to the reduced voltage drop.
