Power Windows/Shift ****/Randomness
I've got a 2001 WS6.
My windows will stop on the way up, but it doesn't necessarily stop at the same point everytime. Does anybody have experience with this? My first instinct is to check the tracks? Should I try replacing the relay first?
Shift ****, I see a bunch of posts where people buy different shifter ***** (6 speed), yet I really just want to put the original back on. Anybody that's bought a new **** looking to get rid of their old one?
And really random, the guy that had my car before me did some weird things and now I'm stuck looking for little pieces. Is there a forum on here where people have pieced out Trans Am's and I inquire about parts?
Thanks.

But electrical motors have 0 or 1 for a signal, right? Off, or on. So how is it motor if it will travel different distances before it stops? If the window goes all the way down ten times, all ten times when I roll it back up, it will go to a different spot before it stops.
Also, sorry I ask stupid questions. Is there a section where someone has documented door panel removal? I don't have my service manual yet.

When the motor is pulling the window down, there is less resistance than pushing it up. The motor is weak, and cant push it all the way back up in one shot.
The motor does just get an on or off signal, but remember, its a mechanical and electrical part thats subject to wear and tear.
You may want to also familiarize yourself with this.

The window motors you could try Autotrix window kit.Several people on here have installed them with goo results.
I am about to order one for my passenger side.I just replaced the drivers side motor and now the passenger is doing exactly what you discribed.
