Default Bad coil pack or other problem?

Yesterday as I was driving the WS6 suddenly started having problems accelerating, even under light acceleration. As the accelerator is pressed she'll intermittently lose acceleration and it's severe enough that it feels like someone is pushing you toward the dash. Is this a possible bad coil pack scenario, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

I would check your plugs, how old is the fuel filter? Also could be the fuel pump. SES light on or blinking?

The fuel filter was just replaced, and I'll be checking the wires/plugs today. No SES light at all, if that helps any, though I do have the check engine light come on.

So the ses light will come on but it doesn't stay on?

Just at startup as per normal, but it does not come on during driving.

I would check the plugs first and get the fuel pressure checked.
