Bad Converter or Trany?
Recently had to have pump replaced on my 4l60e do to a buddy installing toque converter incorrectly. In doing so trany shop informed me I should replace lock up solenoid and a few clutches and bands so i did. I just went for test drive and car is very very sluggish off line. Converter flashres but doesnt feel like it is locking up. also have no overdrive. Car is at high rpm cruising at 55-60. converter was working fine previously. Any idea what the cause to these problems might be??

Electrical connection on drivers side??? Do you mean passenger.
So would the pump being damaged do to converter not being on right not effect the converter or damage it to cause these symptoms?

What exactly did your buddy do to install it incorrectly? It depends on what he did, if he did something really boneheaded then yes it could affect the TC. What you are describing sounds more like its in limp mode like Frank said. Also as he said get it scanned and see what codes its throwing. This will more than likely tell you if its a connector or something actually wrong with the torque converter or transmission.
