Default Which code reader should I buy ?

I have a 01 SS Camaro. I want a cheap code reader that will read codes, delete codes and reset the check engine light. Which one should I get and where is a good place to buy one ? I have been searching here and other sites no luck yet.

Is this one from Harbor Freight a pretty good one ?

I'd go to an advanced auto parts and get one they are like under 100$ But that doesnt tell you what codes they are they just erase them. If you have the extra dough go with a predator diablo sport or a tuner they do it all. I work for advance myself so thats how I know LOL

That one from HF looks OK to me. It is not like you are going to use it that much.

I agree. I have used various units, and their capacities are different. For example, HF sells one for more money that attempts to put into plain text what is actually going on. But the HF unit you point to has a CD that claims to explain the codes. The main goal in this type of reader is that it can pull and clear all the codes. This one claims to do that.
If I were in the market, it is the one I would go for. JMHO.

For that price you could buy HP Tuners and get a hell of a lot more for your money.
