Sony head unit bleep bleep bypass?

Sony head unit bleep bleep bypass? Haha that may sound like an untelligent thread title, but my sister has a Sony head unit in her Saturn which I've been driving a lot lately, and everytime you turn the car off the head unit plays a series of bleeping sounds through the speakers. Its so damn annoying and happens even if you turn the h/u off before killing the ignition. Every sony headunit I've seen installed in friends cars do this same thing. Anyone know how to stop or bypass this?
