LS1 in 93 v6 camaro body - quick steering q
Engine and trans is pulled, A-arms, shocks, and rotors are on the LS1 Umi k-member, and d'oh I noticed that the steering rack might not have enough clearance where the "steering gear coupling shaft assembly" goes into the rack (looks like it will hit the k-member).
So I'm going to look for an LS1 rack, but is that the only steering part I need for the conversion? I did a search and only the LS1 steering rack is mentioned.
Does anyone know if you can use these from the v6 car with the LS1 steering rack:
or do I need to look for those also?
Thanks again for any help/advice!

You need the steering coupler from the LS1 too. I know your column will work, but I'm not sure if it's clocked right.
When I instaled a LS1 column in my 94 Z28 with a 94 rack and coupler the wheel was no longer straight. Problem went away when I did my LS1 swap and installed the LS1 rack and coupler.
