No all they really do is advance the timing. You would be better off saving your money and buying ls1 edit or a predator.

I own a 98 Pontiac Trans-am LS1 i dont think they make preadtor for 98 models.WIll the 99 work on mine?DO THEY MAKE ONE?

No they dont make one for 98's you should really invest in a signature. If you have a laptop you could get ls1 edit. As a last resort i would go with the HPP3 but i have actually heard that their tune can cause detonation which causes you to lose power. A good tuning program is very essential to have with a modified car.
