Help me pick an intake/cam
After getting a great offer on my Malibu wagon it is going down the road in stock condition.
I am replacing it with a 92 notch that will be receiving the following parts
the car is going to be a carbed setup
lq4/6.0
ported 241's
aje k member
powerglide or th350
4.10 gear
msd 6010
prosystems carb
THe car will probably end up with a plate system for the time being but won't be used that much
I have two "undecided" parts
First off. Going carbed what is a good cam to go with? I am probably going to order a Texas Speed custom but I am not sure on what specs to go with that would vary from an injected setup.
The car will be street driven but I am not against it having a lopey idle or bigger lift. (the heads will have springs good for .650)
Secondly I have to decide between the Victor Jr. or Performer carbed intake.
Vic jr says 3500-7500
performer 1500-6500
I can't imagine I am going to twist it that hard but want it to still run good
as a comparision my last engine I had in a malibu wagon was
383 sbc
dart iron heads
herbert solid roller .585/.600 lift
vic jr.
flowed 750dp
with a converter I didn't notice any lowend issues using the vic jr. but am new to the LS engines to know if they are more prone to issues..
Thanks in advance for any advice

You might get good answers to your cam question over on the Gen III Internal Engines forum since it is not conversion specific. They have a Cam sticky at the top of the forum. Just a suggestion.

I have looked there but really didn't find much regarding cam swaps for carbed cars...
The sticky is nice but I'm not sure of the differences between the carb/injection setup
