Can a cam be degreed with a single adjustable timing chain with adjustment on crank?
I have a JP single adjustable timing chain set and my car is in the shop and they are going to degree the cam and said they can't do it with my jp timing chain set that has the key ways on the crank. they said they need one like the hex-a-just that has adjustment on the cam also. They said the one on the crank only has adjustments in 2 degree increment and thats too much. Is this true or will the set I have work? every one I talked to when I bought this one said it would work fine.

I've had the Comp Hex adjust gear set up for about 7 years and 60,000+ miles. I'm now using it on my HK Racing 408 with a LS2 chain. I have had 5 cams over the years and degreed every single one. Thus far dot to dot has been perfect for me. I say let them degree it with your current set up and if an adjustment is needed, then change sprockets, otherwise leave it alone.
