Default Which Flexplate is right for my DD?

I'm about to get a new flexplate to go along with my performabuilt trans with a 3000 stall. The flexplate I'm looking at is a S.F.I. Certified Racing Application Steel Flexplate. The balance type is internal.....is this the right one??? Would you use this type or another? What bothered me is when I read that it's a certified racing application. Don't know if that makes a difference since my car is a DD. Thanks
