Default IPOD>MP3 addapter

Hello all i installed a Peripheral Technology's Media Gateway GXAMG...
it was very easy. i personly dirilled a hole in the back on the lower storage bin of the center consol for the Ipod/mp3. used velcro to hide unit and wires.

Damn man. Circuit City is going out of bussinesss. Thats were i picked mine up at. On the box it said it only supported 07 Grand prix, but on the inside it had a paper list that included the 08 models. i think ineed to update my ipod for the full controls of the ipod using the radio. The link for the company http://www.peripheralelectronics.com...ts.aspx?q=NULL The kit is called PXAMG and will come with 2 different wire harnesses. PGHGM5 and PGHGM1, the one for my grand prix(NON NAV) was the PGHGM5. It was basically plug and play. There website kinda sucks.
Lol i actuallly installed it in the parking lot, then whent home and did a good install of hiding the wires and such.

Once you go to the site. Use the search and put in PXAMG
here is the owners manuel/intall manuel for the kiti used. http://peripheralelectronics.com/per...GM5_Manual.pdf

here are a pic of the box.

The basic of my install.....
I ran the lead for the box down the drivers side, of the cent consol down to where the HVAC controls are. then ran the wire across to the passenger side where the HVAC wiring going. I used Velcro to attach the control box for the MP3 addapter up out of the way. I removed the storage bin and drilled a hole in the back corner of it . There was alot of extra wires so i ran them inside the center stack up out of the way. left about 3ft of leads so that i could hold the MP3/Ipod while driving. Ill take pics and hopefully that will make more sense
