I have a 2000 trans am and the battery went dead so I put the charger on it today and after about a minute the passenger side headlight popped up and as I was walking back over to the car I heard a pop and opened the door to find smoke coming from the glove box. wasnt continuous but enough to stink up the car. I immediately took off the charger and disconnected the battery, and yes the terminals were connected red to red and black to black and the keys wasnt in the ignition although I dont know why that would matter anyway. dont know what has fried as I dont know much about this stuff, I just drive it. Also dont know if this is the right forum catagory. thanks for any help. I live in Ft. Wayne, IN so if anyone is close to here that could fix it would be appreciated.
