So unless you stepping up in cubes , i'd stay with a stocker and invest in something else

I know ed was using a 58mm on this 383, when he went to a 355 he when back to a stock TB and Still ran some 10.30s in this TA.

I agree with ss.slp.ls1. It might sound a little bit better, but that's about it. Wait to put on a tb when you have heads/cam. If your car won't see the track and you're not that worried about it, then just stick with what you have until you start to crack the engine open and create a reason for more airflow.

I'd say that your 52mm TB is capable of supporting the horsepower you are making. You might have a marginal gain by switching to a 58mm, but I would only do so if you could sell your 52mm TB to make up some of the cost of the 58mm TB. Then It might be worth the swap. I have a 52mm TB on my cam-only car, which is over kill, but I got a good deal, so I picked it up now, and I can use it when I go heads/cam/n2o.
