Default spark plug wires

Would it hurt my performance bad to run some $36.xx Summit racing wires verses paying for MSD when I plan on switching to headers in a month or two and running the longer set of wires over the valve cover?

I wouldn't run a $37.00 wire on my car, nor would I recommend it to you. At LEAST buy a set of Taylor 8mms. Thunder Racing sells an OTVC kit that includes everything you need for around $110.

I am using some $30 cheapos from the local parts store on my car. not sure that it is hurting performance any, as my ignition system is completely stock. the only reason i dont change them for "better" wires is this is not a daily driver. times in sig are with these wires, for whatever thats worth to you.

I have Duralast (cheap) wires on my car. I had a new set on the self, couldn't afford the MSD's, so I used them with my recent build. No performance/missfire issues whatsoever. I do however have them covered with Accel heat sleeves by the headers. It's not necessarily about how well a wire "works", it's how well it's insulated (will it arc or burn).
