Default Burning oil

i'm burning about 1 quart of oil between changes. is this normal for LS1's?

also my change oil light always comes on, even right after i change the oil.

the burning oil is pretty common
mines been the same way since i got it almost 4 yrs ago, 6 quarts at an oil change and close to a 1/4 quart every 1000 miles
what im sayin is i get 7 quarts at a time

yes that is pretty normal for an ls1 to burn that amount of oil

to reset your change oil light i believe with the ignition on (engine not running) floor the gas pedal and let it out all the way three times in a row, if you do it correctly your oil change light should start blinking showing it has been reset
