Default Does anyone have any experience with these roler rockers?

I have been looking at some cheap Ebay roller rockers. I know, I get what I pay for. Unfortunately I can't afford $400-600 for Yella Terra or Comp Cams roller rockers anytime soon.

So does anyone, or has anyone ever used any of these cheaper Ebay roller rockers? I am looking for a bolt down non-adjustable rocker that I can just slap on.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have a set of the 1st ones you listed, at the same time I picked up a new set of stock length pushrods...but come to find out they require a longer length pushrod to work. So I just threw the new pushrods in and here they sit in the box. I'll sell them to you for $150 shipped if your interested?

I'm not answering your question - sorry for that. If you have GM head castings there isn't much to be gained by running an aftermarket rocker. But if you get an aftermarket head casting you will probably need roller tipped rockers.

I would keep the stock rockers and use that money for cam, pushrods, springs, etc.

I have direct experience with the first rockers you listed. I ordered a set last year and bottom line....stay away. The construction seemed pretty good with nice tight bearings and such, but it all ends there. The pedestals they come with are too tall to achieve correct valvetrain geometry, hence the percieved need for longer pushrods. On top of that they are not ground flat and vary in height by as much as .007" (yes, I mic'd them all). Not good. Oh and if your heads are not ported the mounting bolts are too long and bottom out before they lock the rocker down. I tried them on both a ported and a stock head. What made me do this was the fact that the bolts seemed to protrude much further into the intake port on the ported head than did the stock rockers.

There is a fix for all of this though, mill the pedestals flat and to the proper height or order a new set of pedestals from a reputable company like Harland Sharp (that's what I did) and use the factory mounting bolts in both cases or the short Edelbrock ones meant for ported heads. After all of this I ended up not using them anyway because I got an awesome deal on a set of Crane Quick Lifts. Bottom line, buy from a reputable manufacturer. I e-mailed Shannon's about the issues I had found, but never got a response.
