Exhaust for 3.5" collectors? GMMG?
I have a set of Kooks 1 7/8"-2"-3.5" headers on my car. Right now I have a TSP true dual put on it, and its just a little to loud for around town cruising. I am wanting to go with a y-pipe setup. My question is this-is there any other y-pipe that will fit directly onto these headers, besides the $500 kooks y-pipe? If thats my only option I will eventually get it when I can afford it. Next question is this-should I buy a complete cat back system that will bolt up to it? Such as a GMMG or mufflex? Then put a cutout up stream of the muffler? Or could I get away with a muffler hanging off the y-pipe with a turn down? A muffler such as a Borla XR-1?
I know there has been a few post aobut this sort of thing, but not a lot of people seem to have any experience with it.

The Edelbrock ORY has 3.5" slip fit ends. It also has a 3" exit with a seperate adapter if you want to use the 2 3/4"
I cut the 3.5 ends off and adapted it to fit my pacesetter 3" collectors fairly easy.

This is what I got. <<< summit link, hope it works.
It says it's black but mine is aluminized steel. It was cheaper when I got it and I was surprised because it comes with five SS T-Bolt clamps, two O2 bungs to weld in (if needed) and the quality seems top notch.
Also it's not like most ORY's I've seen where the pass side is one pipe and the drivers side attaches to the pass side.
The Edelbrock's two pipes connect at the same spot, if that makes sense, if not I attached a pic of mine where they connect.
