Default Milling LS6 Heads

How much can we cut our LS6 heads. I cut mine .040 already. Thinking that .020 more might be OK. LPE/GM heads are cut .055.

I had mine decked between .050 and .060. Absolutely no problems with shorter pushrods. Chambers measured around 59cc which made my CR around 11.1- 11.2

I8Cobra, you must have a lot of chamber relief porting to only have 59cc after grinding that much. The set im doing was 64cc stock, with 2.02" and 1.6" installed and smoothing spark plug bump its at 62.5cc. .050" off these heads should produce 55cc chambers.

I meant to say .040-050 decked off. My valves are 2.00/1.55. No chamber relief porting done, theyre highly polished almost to a mirror shine but not ported. 3 different chambers were measured and they were measuring between 59-59.5cc.
