Max Safe RPM For LS1 Valve Springs?
Right now my 02 C5's rev limiter is set to the stock 6200 RPM. I'd like to bump it 200 or 300 rpm. Will the stock valve springs handle that or do I need to upgrade the springs before bumping up the rev limiter? The springs currently have 3800 miles on them.

6200 is the max I would do on LS1 springs.
Pop on some LS6 springs for 6400-6400, that's one of the reasons why the Z06 can be buzzed that high.

the ls1 valvetrain is good to 6700 rpms. i set mine at 6600 so i dont hit the rev limiter on the juice (just in case) but ive revved to 6600 many times with no problems.

Thanks for the info. I decided to play it safe and leave it alone especially with boost pushing on the back of the valve. I'll wait until I upgrade the springs.
