Loud buzz from CD player?

Loud buzz from CD player? The deck in question is a Clarion DXZ 955.The unit will now start to buzz loudly and continuously sometimes when I go for a drive. The noise fades when I apply brakes but the deck will also do it when the engine isn't even running. Sometimes it starts up immediately when I cut the unit on-at other times it takes an hour or 2. This deck was the first one I put in myself-could this be something as simple as a ground came loose or is the deck dying on me?
