Default Whats This?

It's on a 2000 Trans Am that was supercharged....it is the fuel line before it goes in the front of the fuel rail and has a vacuum line going in the top of it......What is it and why is it there?

If Im not mistaken thats a boost refferenced fuel pressure regulator.

ha I'll believe you.....im assuming that this will adjust the fuel pressure as the boost increases.....so now that the charger is off this can be removed right?

That's a FMU (Fuel Management Unit). It spikes pressure with boost to make up for small injectors. If I had to guess it's a Vortech unit.
