Should EFIlive display slight A/F fluctuations?
What should the A/F ratio be while driving around. I was seeing a consistent 14.6 at idle and even when driving down the rode it never seemed to fluctuate. When I went to WOT it changed but I am not concerned about WOT as much as why it did not change while driving normally. I thought that it should at least go up and down a little. I am using EFIlive for the first time so I am trying to get an idea of what is normal. I have not had time to do a lot of logging so maybe this was only that one time.

Re: Should EFIlive display slight A/F fluctuations?
im in the same boat, just got my efi live on friday and am still learning it. my AFR at idle is 13.6-14.6 in open loop and 11.7 in closed loop.
For the most part at idle is your A/F just staying at 14.6? I just want to know if this is normal. My A/F does not move at all while idling.

You need a wideband monitor to check your 02's. All the monitoring software does is show you what the PCM is trying to achieve, not what the car is actually doing.

THis is the internal value that PCM is trying to maintain. It will only change in open loop modes eg crank up and warm up and WOT. The real changes are the LTFT's they are always trying to keep a 14.7 stoich ratio
