L92 6.0....cam recomendations ? ? ? ? ?
Ive heard so much conflicting info on what L92 heads like in the camshaft department. I know that the exhaust ports cant keep up with the intakes in stock form, and many people are running some pretty crazy split duration grinds with unported heads Here is my combo. I will be going forced induction in the future, hence the 9.5:1 Compression ratio. When i do go forced induction, obviously the cam will change. looking for a grind that will work for me now, naturally aspirated
2007 LY6 (iron block 6.0)
9.5:1 compression
Naturally Aspirated, no NOS no Boost
Stock unported L92 Heads
Stock pistons (no flycutting or mods, cam must work with stock slugs)
Either L76 or Single Plane EFI (Vic JR or GMPP with elbow)
4L80E Transmission
Stall can be matched to the cam selection
Car has 3.73 gears and 28" tires, Race weight is 3550
Looking for something streetable with decent gas mileage (dosent have to be excellent mileage, but dont want 8mpg either...thats why i dumped the solid roller 406 in the first place!) i dont want to murder the torque down low, the car sees alot of street time. I see LS3's with nasty cam swaps and bolt ons getting into the 10's in C6 vettes, so i figure 11's in my 3500lb chevelle is a reasonable streetable target to shoot for.
So....any recommendations?
