twin turbo lq4 or ls1
Hi,
I am in the process of building a 67 camaro with a custom twin 60-1 turbo setup and I have two engine choices.
I have a 2002 LS1 with 36k miles, all wiring, and a 98 4l80e to go with it.
And I also picked up a 2004 6.0L Lq4 / 4L80e combo with 63k out of a chevy express van.
I have fitted the ls1 and mocked up the turbo's in the car.
What do u think would be a better set up to start with? Both are good running engine setups, but I am thinking of moving to the lq4 set up due to the larger cubic inches and lower compression.
Either way I will probably be building a forged engine set up but would like to have a fun setup for the summer.
Either motor I will be planning to put patriot valve springs / pushrods / and ARP rod bolts in at least. And throwing a shift kit on the 4L80e with a circle D converter.
any insight appreciated
