mystery???
I just got done pulling a motor out my buddies camaro to clean up and do a heads cam swap. Now supposedly the motor was replaced at 50,000 due to piston slap (car now has 73,000 on it. I opened up the pan and its spotless inside. I took the heads off (which are 241's) and noticed the valves are huge. I measured the PRC 215's that we have and the valves are the same size. Now I dont have a set of dial calipers, so I broke out a ruler, and the intake valve is 2 1/16th, and the exhaust is 1 3/4. Did GM put bigger valves in their replacement engines? Also the cam had some numbers on the end, and also a black rectangle design on it (No..I dont have a camera...)
Any info guys?

The cam with the little black rectangles sounds like a stock GM cam. Its really hard to measure the difference in valves sizes with a ruler. Stock size might be a 2.0" valve and some people put in 2.02" valves which really is only a .020" difference, pretty hard to measure with a ruler. I really dont know what the stock valve size is on the 241 heads but I'm sure the search feature would tell you right away.
