Default Vibration in Third

Alright... Ive had this problem since my car first got a converter put in. In third and fourth gear on a locked converter, it has some nasty vibration. I can tap the break and unlock / lock the converter, and sometimes it will stop, sometimes it will continue, i just keep trying. Same problem... with a Vig, Midwest and a Yank, same problem with 3 transmissions. Could it be the flex plate??? I know that mine is cracked a bit right now a bit past the teeth. Ive swapped the U-joints, constantly check the pinion angle... and I cant figure anything out. Any ideas???

You should definitely replace that flexplate ASAP. They are a weak link on the LS1 cars. Thunder Racing and Texas Speed & Performance both sell the TCI flexplate for around $200.

Bill,
The factory flexplates were too thin for a high HP car. They're prone to crack. This is one area were a heavier part is better.
