Default drive on untuned?

i'm throwing on a set of 241 heads on my 2000 and pulling off the 853's, how much of a difference if any will there be as far as running wise? i need to drive the car 70 miles to get it tuned at the shop and was curious if i can drive it safely without mashing on it or should i just have i towed? tuners can you help me out with some advice please??? thank you

You are only puting the 241 heads on and not a cam at the same time? If only doing the heads then there should not be that much of a difference in the way it runs, I don't see a problem with you driving it to get it tuned. If you are however doing a cam at the same time then you might have some issues.

the cam i'm goin to do is the tr230/224 cam but i'm savin for a new tranny since mine has 146K on it

youll be fine change with just swaping to a diffrent stock head will be very minimal
