need advice on heads..
I have a question about heads.. i have a 99 LS1 with a MS4 cam with supporting valve train, a Fast 90mm intake and a 90mm throttle body, little to no exhaust, and I have a Nitrous Dave's wet system(stand alone fuel cell with C16 in it) set up for 150 shot. Which is fantastic btw, thank you Chris at Dave's for all the help..And I have the lingenfelter two step that allows me to take time, and i have it set up to take 8 degrees of time out, when on the bottle. I have spoken with people at Texas Speed and they are trying to sell me the 5.3 heads, i am afraid that with the raised compression that i could have issues with the bottle and would maybe not get the best results considering the size of the cam.. the LS6 head sounds like a good deal too But i im not sure what head i should get. any suggestions, or comments??

Sorry I missed this one. As stated, nitrous does like compression when you have the right fuel supply and timing for it! What short-block are you running? With that cam, you'll be smacking valves to pistons with these heads on a stock shorty and no valve reliefs. With valve reliefs, you're golden and the 5.3L head will be nice because of the compression bump due to those smaller chambers. of course, the LS6 heads will work very nicely as well if you have valve reliefs, you just have to mill them a bit more to get that compression!

Why would it be an issue with the LS6 combustion chamber, i have the stock LS1 heads on it now, and have no valve clearance issues. are they not the same combustion chamber size.. it is the factory short block..

You might also consider the new PRC 215 heads, we can set you up with smaller chambers for a compression bump while keeping good piston to valve clearance! typically we've been seeing 480-500rwhp with heads cam MS4/PRC 215 combos!!
