Default Service engine soon light

I got a catalyist efficiency code from both converters on my 99 camaro with the ls1. It also has misfired a couple of times and it says the o2 sensor is out.

I was told that the convertes goin bad could cause all the problems im having.. is that true?

I want to know before i spend money i dont have on gettin new ones

Yeah they need to be replaced. You should just get longtube headers and ORY and get rid of all that junk.

Yeah, only the 00-02 LS1 F cars. Post the actual codes if you can, maybe it's something else.
