Default head and cam vs cam only labor hours?

I was just wondering if doing a head and cam job is easier than a cam only
job if you have assembled heads and don't have to mess with the springs.

Close, but cam only is still a few hours quicker than a H/C swap. You spend time cleaning the surface of the block of the old gasket material, which takes time as well. Cleaning out the bolt holes so there is no antifreez in them.

The Crane tool is a lifesaver and makes springs a breeze!
