Default c5 z06 results from 75 shot

Finally got my HSW sudden impact dry plate kit hooked up and the bottle mounted. Brought it to the track to spray for the first time and mess with the settings on the interface etc. The car has long tubes and a k&n filter. Before the nitrous my best time was 12.3 @ 118 on street tires. I used my FJO to lockout the spray in 1st. The car trapped a best of 124 mph (6 mph more then N/A) Although I did pull 2 1.9's and 1 1.8 60ft the car went a best of 12.0 3 times in a row. Id like to blame it on my shifts since I was a little cautious being it was my first time using and installing nitrous, but im not sure. I have nano but it was not hooked up yet, so my bottle pressure was dropping every run, if It wasn't I think the last or last two 12.0's would have been in the 11's.

I didn't have any time to really tune the car so i will be looking at the logs and adjusting accordingly, im pulling 3 degrees out, which brings me to about 19 deg advance which is probably not needed for the 75 shot considering my base timing is at 22 degress.

I finally broke into the 1.x 60ft range this night for the first time ever. I have bfg kdw2 tires and was running them at 25psi. I was slipping the clutch at 4500rpm of the line and it was grabbing really nice.

I also broke into the 7's for the first time in the 1/8 mile

Overall I'm very happy, cant wait to put in the 150 shot and the nano. I should see 130mph+. Ill probably bump up to 100 shot and try the nano as well and see what i can do with that.

heres a video compilation of me and my brother racing that night.

sounds like my vett. i just have a cold air kit and i went 12.2 at 116 on motor
12.0@ 124 on 75 shot
12.0 @126 100 shot
12.0 @ 128+ on the 125 shot.
that was all in about 8-9 runs messing with off in fiirt, of first and second, on all the time messing with the peddle, etc etc. cant wait to get my tires on. i bet with good tires we would both be in the low 11's at 125 ish

nice runs

Nice to see you start small, getting comfortable and working your way up. The top end fueling feature on the interface will work very well with the NANO kit once you get that hooked up. I think you are right about the timing, thats probably a bit too much to be pulling based on your total. Other then that, great job, look forward to the results on the 100 and 150. Are you running 42lb/hr injectors and a fuel pump?

i have ford 42# injectors yes, but a stock z06 pump. I have a FPSS and a wideband so i should be able to identify the limit

haha ya i cant seem to break that 12.0 barrier, hopefully next time. I should be able to do mid-low 11's on a 124 trap, my brother has done 11.7 @ 118 with AWD. Your 128 sounds really nice, are you on a stock clutch? what about fuel pump?

Wow guys, thats horrable your only shaving 2-3 tenths with a 75/125 shot. Put some tires under those cars...

yes, stock clutch and stock pump and stock injectors and stock tune.

the clutch has 25,000 miles on it, and is now hurt. i have one waititng to go in.

i have 42 pound injectors to go in as well

i have a set of 315/35 17 MT ET street radials ready to go on once i do the clutch.

the tune will be done as well, but i accually added 2* of timming to my car.
befor you go pulling timming, you need to get your info right.. log some runs, watch your knock etc. the rule of pulling timming is a basic rule of thumb. it doesnt apply to everything.

it applys to peak power stuff. like peak motor power is say 28* then with 100 shot you should be about 26 or so 125-150 22-24 and so on. stock these cars are timmed low mine was 22-24 stock. i run 26 now with the 125 shot
