Default LS1 Edit... About to purchase~ Is it worth it?

I found LS1 edit for cheap

was wondering if it is worth it to purchase. I am looking to not only tune my personal vehicle but do tunes for locals once I learn how to use it.

How user friendly is the software, is it easy to learn?

How effective is the software compared to others?

Can I tune 1997+ 4.3L V6's with it (I build turbo kits for S10's )

Can I tune on the fly inside of the vehicle with it.

What is the best datalogger to use in conjunction with it?

Thank you for any help!

Probably not, most will agree its a bit dated & there are other more cost effective options out there. I am looking to not only tune my personal vehicle but do tunes for locals once I learn how to use it.

It will get the job done but you are missing out on many software & hardware advantages of the other tuning options out there.

Can I tune 1997+ 4.3L V6's with it (I build turbo kits for S10's )
Likely not 97-00 but may 01+, again there are other options that will let you go back further than 01 but not LS1 edit AFAIK.

Can I tune on the fly inside of the vehicle with it.
Not with their product AFAIK

IMO HP Tuners VCM Scanner
