Default changing locks on t top

I recently had my t top shatter so i had to get a new one from a junk yard nearby.

The problem is that on the new one is really hard to latch and latch so i was wondering if there was any way to change just the lock and handle part on the new t top so that I can use the same locks on both sides.

My prior t top handle is in good condition and I can latch easily.

if you have the old lock for the one that shattered you just have to take that one out and put it in the new one, its not hard to do. its held in by clips and what not, make sure you have everything for the lock, clip that holds lock in, and the pawl (what makes the bar in the top actually lock when lock cylinder is in lock position), and the pawl retainer. you can find a diagram of it online or at your dealership.
