Default Having Trouble deciding, N2O throwing me off

So I'm figuring 475-500 fwhp which on the calculator comes out to be right around 42#'s. (That is at 80% duty cycle btw.)

In one of the sticky's it says you don't need a 255 until ~51#'s

My question is, how does nitrous effect these #'s. I had an argument with my friend today about nitrous and extra fuel needed. I look at nitrous as a combustible gas, therefore not needing extra fuel. But then again, it does add more power, and adds more fuel.

So we came to the consensus that it will depend on Wet vs. Dry. In which case I will most likely be running a Wet 100-150. So, should I up the injector size? And run something like a Walboro 255?

Thanks

Nitrous is NOT a combustible gas. It is an oxidizer.

If you run a dry shot, you need to take your injectors AND fuel pump into account. If you run a wet shot, you just need to see if your fuel pump is up to the task.

I say safe then sorry. I would put a 255 walbro with the hotwire kit and 42# injectors even with the wet kit. And a fuel pressure guage lol. But yeah no2 dosent add fuel bro nore dose it increase octain

Hmm great info guys. I always nitrous oxide was combustible. Thank god I decided to not go with chemical engineer haha.

I already have 42# on the way. And I guess I will go with the 255 while I'm at it..

And that will be sufficient enough right?

There is no reason to suggest that it's safer to up the injector size with a wet shot. The injectors are not related to the nitrous system in a wet kit, only on a dry kit. If you spray wet, you need not worry about the injectors.

^ Regardless, the injector # I calculated was from an NA horsepower rating...
