Default Too Much Rasp

I just put on LT's and an ORY with an SLP catback but now the exhaust sound tooooo raspy. 1. I bought a Borla XR-1 to replace the SLP but wasnt sure if this would fix it? 2. Can i put the XR-1 in front of the SLP resonator or do i have to replace it? Money is tight right now so going TD's is not an option.

I replaced my LM1 SLP with the Borla muffler. I just put the Borla in place of the resonator. It did sound a bit deeper and did get rid of the rasp somewhat.

I think that flowmaster Y merger reduces rasp. I could be wrong.

I recently added a Slp Loudmouth 2, and it had to much rasp for my taste! I added a bullet Magnaflow muffler and it sounds good! The Borla should work with some possible fabracation

Rasp will be hard to get rid of without running cats or at least a better merge. I put a Powerstick in place of the resonator and it sounded a little better but still a ton of rasp.

Couldn't the OP try adding cats to his setup? I've read here going with a catted Y-pipe reduces rasp. I hoping this is true. I'm on the cusp of starting my LT and Poly MM install and I'm going with a catted Y.

Cats will reduce the rasp and high flow cats flow nearly as well as having no cats at all.
