Default rebuild kits

my car got alot of miles and im wanting to do a cam swap. so u i want to rebuild the motor first. what are some decent rebuild kits. i looked at summits federal mongul rebuild kits and they are $589. they come with for pistons and all

What exactly is alot of miles?

It will probably cost you upwards of $1500 or more for a basic rebuild, considering the machine-work necessary to do it properly (balancing, line-hone, overbore, etc.). Have you considered these additional costs?

197k what the odo says. i have no clue if its ever been rebuilt or not. ive only had it for to years. yea i understand all the machine work prices. i was just wondering about how those pistons would be. plan on using stock crank and rods with arp bolts

plus i will be doing all the labor. that kit comes with all the gaskets and ring plus ooil pump
