the same old question
Heres the deal. I have a ss that is a H/C/I with a completely stock bottom end car that is making about 450 rwhp (runs 122 in the quarter with a terrible 60'). I bought a HSW plate kit and was planning to put it on for this season. i was only planning on spraying 100-125 at most with all the saftey goodies minus the stand alone fuel system. Now i completely understand that the more power you throw at it the better chances there are of something breaking and i can accept that. What alot of people are telling me is that i will 100% blow up if i put the 100 shot on that the motor cannot handle it. Now again, if she blows she blows im fine with it. But then again i dont wanna be stupid.

Whoever told you that you will blow the motor up is a retard and deserves a kick in the nuts. I have sprayed many bottles through my stock bottom end ls1. I spray a 150 shot. Many guys have sprayed more with great luck. Search Robert56. He sprayed alot of nitrous on his stock bottom end ls6 and made around 700hp if I remember. So answer is no, a 100 shot will not blow up your motor. My 2 cents, take it for what its worth, Josh

Mine used to go through 2 bottles a weekend on a 165 shot. I did that for about a year then picked up a job where I work everyother weekend now. I started sprayin mine at 113k and it had 146k on it when it spun the number 6 bearing. I'm gonna fix the bottom end (back stock) add some stock ported heads and put a 2 stage 225 on it

My H/C/I motor blew two weeks ago on a 100 shot, after maybe 8 bottles. It was making about 410hp N/A. But it was a 98 and I think the rod bolt is actually what let go(the 98's had weaker rod bolts than later years). With a H/C car you will have less room for error in the tune, but I agree with the others a 100 shot wont blow your motor the first time you spay.
