Default What cylinder is what?

I know the firing order on LS1's are 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3 but are the cylinders in the same location as other GM V8 motors.
Is 1,3,5,7 on the driver side with #1 being closest towards the nose of the car and #7 closest to the driver?
Is 2,4,6,8 on the passenger side with #2 being closest towards the nose of the car and #8 closest to the passenger?
