Default Track Night

I'm headed down to Bradenton motorsports park with a couple friends and some of the guys from F-bodyinc on May 7th to see what my car will do with all the new mods. I'd like to head down there as early as possible to get some quick runs in. If anyone is interested in going or meeting up some place and then crusing down let me know.

You did good Matt. The air got pretty bad as time went on. Had a good time, and the boy got his 1/4 mile cherry popped. HAd to drag him out of there last night.

I didn't want to leave there towards the end because I just wanted to get back into the twelves but I figured that wasn't going to happen. What was yours and his best times?

i didnt see this post until just now, but i was there in my black TA. the track was garbage (for me) and the fact two slick cars stuck it in the wall didnt help me out. i made two hits and both blew the tires right off the bat. atleast i hope it was teh track. i have never seen BMP so poorly preped. there were also a million imports doing rev limitor launches destroying the launch pad.

wish i knew about this, i would have come up and said hi.

John, Yea, I saw your car there. Was wondering if you were on here.
The track was slick, and seeing those 2 hit the wall proved it. Well, at least the track was fine for some, but not others. I was stationed in Louisiana for 14 years and got spoiled by Red River Raceway, a fresh track with the entire pit area paved. A first class track I am going to miss. Bradenton reminded me of the track in Hallsville, TX where everything was nothing but dust and tumbleweeds. I really hate the dirt pits.

Matt, I could not break any quicker than 13.2, and was averaging 13.5. The boy did get his down to a 16.2, but had a lot of 17 sec runs. We really have to get him a real car now.

BMP used to be first rate. i talked to the track guys and they said it just wasnt economically feasable to spend the money to prep when there were so few cars there. also, most of the cars there wouldnt notice track prep!

i have gone 1.3 60' at BMP on a test and tune night. they know how to prep it when they need to. at this point, i wont be going to any more TNT. i dont feel like going sideways in my car.

its runday sundays or track events for me from now on.

You could start him off light and get him an LT1 or just go all out and get another LS1
