!Smog Pump
Hi guys, I have a 95 Formula with the LT1 and found out that the smog pump just froze, it ate the belt and now I would like to just bypass that pulley! I plan on taking the motor out and putting a small cam in it while getting the heads ported and polished! But like I said I want to bypass the smog pump by just getting a smaller belt, has anyone done this and if so can someone give me the belt measurement?
Also, while I have the motor out I will be pulling the heat and a/c out, because it is a t-top car for the summer and not being drivne in winter! How has this gone for other people who have done it? LMK thanx guys

The smog pump is electrical, not belt driven. So, I don't know how that would've eaten your belt. Also, taking the A/C out isn't too tough. It was a pain in the *** trying to get to some of the bolts on the A/C compressor. But, the rest was a breeze.

Thanx bro, I always thought that the last pump/pulley on the passenger side was the smog pump, must be the compressor then? I Will find out when I pull the motor out in a week or so! But thanx for your time, and I hope I didnt make myself look stupid.

Shouldn't feel anything if the AC pulley is operating properly. They are EXTREMELY free spinning when the clutch is disengaged. I think you'd be lucky to pick up a single pony on the dyno since running no belt only gains your about 5-10hp which I bet is mainly gained from the power steering.
