I am trying to mate L92 heads to my 2002 LQ4, and when I look at the gaskets, there seems to be some holes that don't match up. I assume these are water jackets? Are the supposed to be the same or is there a special gasket for this? Thanks for any help. Here are a couple pics to show examples of what I talk about

I believe my gaskets were very similar, I'm pretty sure it is normal. The gaskets I used were Cometic .040 and they blocked some of the holes.

Just get L92 head gaskets....

**** I just bought a set of these Cometics, and they aren't cheap! Anyone know for sure if I can use them even if they block holes?

That is what all of the head gaskets look like. They use the small holes to maintain/control temperatures of the waterjackets and heads. this is a pic from GMPP's website
